I have a lot planned for 2015, how about you? Key highlights include (hopefully) moving out of the state, expanding my freelance business, reading books as actively as I did before college, and of course publishing some more fantasy stories. Continue reading

Cover Art Rework, Part II
Proof copies are on their way. I’ve reworked covers for Children of Fire and Beginning Stones, which has been a lot of fun and good practice. I’m really looking forward to having them all with a matte finish cover.
For Beginning Stones, the title font was always an issue for me. I’m still not sure if I’m happy with it. I also wanted to make sure that the background really showed up. CreateSpace tends to print things a little on the dark side, but I wanted the detail of the stone floor to be more visible.
I also added text to the spine, which will hopefully be centered. We’ll see!
Thoughts for this one?

Cover Reveal: Eye of the Void
Cover creation has been one of those parts of indie authorship that has become a huge learning process for me. I knew from the start that I wanted to make my own, so that this project of mine would be exactly that – mine. I have a love-hate relationship with my first couple of covers, and will probably go back and update them sometime soon.
This is by far my favorite so far. I hope it prints well.
New Painting
I haven’t painted ALL YEAR so I decided to remedy that.
I don’t usually work with fairies but this was made specially for a friend.
One day I’ll have my own place with an art studio and I’ll be able to paint more. This magical studio will have far better lighting than my apartment and I’ll be able to take decent photos of my work.
